My car has the following mods:

Marauder airbox and MAF
ZIP tube
colder spark plugs and thermostat
polished upper intake plenum
underdrive pullies
computer tune for 91 octane

I don't want to open the engine up, use nitrous or a supercharger, or change rear end gears. Given all that, am I maxed out on performance gains at this point?

all you can do now is lighten her up. lighter wheels, mmx driveshaft, etc..

have you had a dyno tune? do you have access to 93 octane fuel? not that it will add too much, but it'll do something.

Look at ADTR site (banners are above all the time) they have a 75mm throttle body and intake spacer you can add easily with hand tools. I don't have those two Items, but I think I want them.

What about your exhaust setup too?

Shorty headers with High flow cats will add HP. You can keep you stock mufflers as you probably already know they arn't the restriction unless you want some tone to it. Other then that and what luv-my-2002-p71 said about the throttle body you are maxed out. This is the reason I'm not so much in the go fast mods at this point cause once it is no longer my daily driver I'm droping in a Cobra motor. Simple bolt on's are a thing of the past for you Jon.

Well since he's got stock 3.27's going to a 3.55 or 3.73 is not going to be worth it. And any higher than 3.55 you are going to begin to kill highway economy.

Not as much as you'd think, I went from 3.27 to 3.73 and my mileage is at most 3miles less than what it was before the swap.

I personaly would go no more than a 3.55 being my car is a daily driver and I would like to keep good fuel economy numbers out of it.

Actually, you will see little to no gains in return for all that $$$. Unless you have P&P heads and/or forced induction, the factory dual exhaust is sufficient.

Even with PI heads and a mild cam and his intake mods?

Yes, you've done most of what you can to improve your power. Go to alloy wheels, with a smaller outside diameter. Loose some wieght. Really, not much available here. In order to get more power n/a you need a higher compression ratio, ported heads and Bullet intake. A supercharger would get you there too. My advice is save your money for something that would actually net you real gains.

Forget about the cams guys. I have yet to hear someone installing aftermarket cams in a Panther and liking them. Charlie has, but complains a lot of the side effects. Our cars are heavy. Factory cams help with low end torque. Likewise the factory intake manifold helps with low end torque too. Sure you can trade the low end for hp on the upper rpm band, but it won't be much fun as a daily driver. If you really like that idea, get a stock Marauder.

Stock dual exhaust up to 2000 supports 300hp before becomming a restriction to power. Stock dual exhaust 2001+ supports more, I'm guessing around 350hp. Sure there are some slight gains in changing the exhaust in lower power applications. Is 2-7hp worth the money, effort and noise? Remember we're talking around a 2% increase in peak hp and about a 3% decrease in low rpm torque.
