I have a friend with a '70 Boss 429(& 302), he mostly drives a Yukon(also has a '91 5.0 Stang driver)... I can promise you couldn't give him a CV or MGM...

There is no power assist in the steering box, just the worm gear, before I replaced linkage it was 100% grunt... Power steering is accomplished by the cylinder on back side of linkage... This system was used by Ford & GM for years, with last vehicle being 1982 Corvette...
