you might be able to use the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) setup from a later crownvic in your box body crownvic. i've been running my retrofitted car with a standalone eatc setup for many years now without any scp databus connections.

has anyone tried physically fitting the electrical blend door actuator from a 1990's crownvic into a pre-1990 car?

Missed your followup 2V, I want to stick to manual controls in my box. Tommorow I might hit the wreckers and see if I can locate a mustang control and a 95+ cv out there to rob the vacuum selector from and do some experimenting. I'll see if anything is ripped apart enough in the boxes to get pics of the blend door setups.

Alex.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Look for a busted hose somewhere.

i ended up buying a year for 30$ not too bad.

the black vacuum line to the thermal blower lock out switch was broken, fixed that found yellow vacuum tube to "full panel" actuator, and had everything working for about an hour until the green tube from the tbl switch broke just sitting there, still have vent and ac.

found the tbl switch is bad even when hot no blower function on floor. will bypass that switch electrically and vacuum'ly,

spot of good news the afc "sensor" has a date on it from year 2000 and i blew out the debris in the afc sensor feed tube blockages.
