Well u know u hear about limits on parts and all that mumbo jumbo,my builder told me not to try the 28 splines at the track with my Car so I’m Gnna listen to him,my biggest fear the C-clip coming out and taking a fender with it and possibly worse depending on the speed it comes out,I’m not a young brazen kid no more so I do respect the car and it’s power.I don’t see a issue with upgrading but the money,I like the added security. I’m hoping moser can machine and attach some C clip eliminators to the Axles I buy.

The brake caliper bracket will keep that from happening.
Still not a good situation, though.

No it won't. The caliper bracket WILL hold the rotor in but the e-brake hat cracks out and the axle shaft exits with the wheel. Don't believe me? Paypal me $40 and I'll send you the evidence (lower 48 only)...

Get custom axles cut for it. No one makes a 31 spline axle thats a direct bolt in, that i could find. Total would be roughly 1465 plus tax. Thats bearing kit/crush sleeve eliminator, axle bearings/seal, shop supplies, Detroit truetrac, axles, labor.

I would go with the truetrac to bulletproof. I am afraid the standard ford racing carrier would fail eventually with 460 at the wheels.

From the Rearend guru himself,so for say 1600 I’d have a really good rearend I messaged a couple fellers on here about the 98-02 shaft measurements,I’m just going to pull mine and take it to him to measure just to be safe.

Picked up a Ford racing axle housing it’s a nice

What is cameron using then on his car ?

x2 on the ford racing carrier not being stron enough. I have seen one splitting open on a stock manual vic but we have been doing some drift with it big time so who knows .

Looks like he had ran his 28 spline axles in the beginning with success, according to the thread he runs 31 spline now,not sure.I want it stronger so I’m going down the rabbit hole and doing it.

What specific Vortech kit did you get, and where did you get it for such a good price if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!
