I haven't had my car long but I noticed right away that I had to keep resetting my dash clock. After a while I noticed that my battery ground terminal clamp was split so I figured it wasn't always getting a good ground. I changed that out and it seemed to solve the problem for about 2 weeks. I got in the car today after it sat about 3 days and I'll be damned if my clock wasn't right again.
I know in the large scheme of things this is a very minor issue but I'd like for it to work.

It is probably an indicator of a larger issue. I don't recall if it resets to 12:00 or just stops incrementing (if no battery for 10 minutes, it is then 10 minutes slow) because I know my different vehicles behave differently.

It probably isn't a low power or a draw but completely losing power.

It could be specific to the clock (you don't mention what vehicle or year), could be in the radio (do you lose presets), digital below the radio, analog (Town Car), etc.

Sorry, forgot to mention that it's a '93 with a new battery. I checked today when I got home from work and it's saving my preset radio stations, just not clock settings.
