I was wondering, can the hose be easily detached and replaced from this part? If so, how would one go about removing it?

Does it have clamps between both ends of the flexible hose part? If it does, just loosen the clamps and slide it off.

If not, you're probably going to have to find a whole intake tube from a junkyard if there's one nearby.

It does not. Looks like I'm going to need the entire assembly. I'll probably have a custom cold air intake installed until I can hunt one down.

Thanks for letting me know.

The flexible hose on the lower part looks to have a metal ring/clamp on the end attaching to the plastic. Do you have a picture of it from the bottom. Depending how long it has been on there the rubber hose under the clamp may appear to be bonded from heat cycles.

I took another look at it and, yeah, you're right, there's a clamp/ring on both ends of the hose. No idea how I missed it. So, all I really need now is the top part connected to the throttle body due to it cracking over the years. Tape is barely holding it together at this point.

A bit off-topic, but I was wondering if you could help me with one other issue - I had the lower radiator hose replaced by a repair shop recently. Ever since then, my temp gauge has been fluctuating a bit while driving. It isn't overheating per se, but the needle will sometimes rise slightly from the center.

Is this something to be concerned about? I've never seen it do that before. No idea if they pressure tested the cooling system once everything was completed.
