That's a nice cruiser... it's a shame that ya'll can't afford blue anymore. It's a very nice color.

The car I'm probably getting (a '97 P71 used by the California Highway Patrol) came with a slightly darker blue (so did our '92 P71 from the Highway Patrol). The problem with that color is that it fades so fast. Before an idiot totaled our '92 for us, we had gotten it repainted white. It looked really awesome. Our '97 doesn't look so great with that blue.

BTW, for those who are interested, our '92 P71 was totaled by a lady in some small asian economy car who decided to run a red light going between 65-75 mph (according to the police). She ran into the passenger side door with both of my parents in the car. Neither of them were injured, the airbags didn't deploy and they drove it home. In fact, you could still close the passenger side doors. I love Crown Vics! (the lady had to be cut out of her car)

Crown Vics are tough cars ever!
1991 Toyota Corolla 145k 1.6 4AF-E motor, white with charcoal interior. No power accessories whatsoever, just plain manual windows, manual locks, wherever every passenger has to lock on their own, and obviously, no power seats. Legal tint to the front and limo to the back. It's my daily driver car.

Future vehicles: 2011 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71 ext. cab pickup and a 2002 or 2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport.

That color is "Columbia Blue". It was used on HPD cars for many years. I remember HPD cars back in the early 60's in that color. The difference being the roofs were painted white. This was to try and make the cars cooler inside during the Texas summer heat. The Cars didn't have air conditioning back then.
The move to white cars was financial. Lots of agencies did the same thing. White is a universal color, and easier to match paint if repairs were needed.

That color was also the team uniform color of the Houston Oilers football team. (Back in the day, before they moved to Tennessee.)
