Got it through a friend. He knew I was on the look out for one and called me when his whole saler company in SoCal got a shipment of ex-Hertz cars in and I drove down to pick it up. The photo of the dealership is when I drove to Ford WC to get a few minor trim items replaced. Unfortunately he said this is probably the last of the last batch of GMs. They haven't seen any Crown Vics in years... frown

There are a few at Novato and San Leandro Ford dealerships though...I was eyeing a black one at the Fairfield Ford dealer but decided I didn't want to look like a livery driver for the next ten years...

I am from contra costa too and there are close to NO cvlx's with a decent amount of miles, unless you want to drive to Sacramento. However I did see that one in Novato on craigslist smile

yeah. the only CVs around are CVPIs with over 80k on the odometer, which is not necessarily a bad thing but I wanted a low key car. And talk about the lack of SAP CVPIs...

I don't think I've ever seen a SAP cv for sale around here, and I have been looking for 4 years.

You know it's funny, since I'm sure you watch Craigslist as much as I do, if I saw the ad for the 2011 CVLX in Campbell's Autostar with 4900 miles on it a month earlier I would have bought it in a heart beat, even at the 20k asking price. But By the time I saw it I already had the Merc in my driveway...I got lucky with the Merc, as we didn't really need another car but the Missus loves these American sedans, but two in one month would have costed me my marriage, lol

But the Merc is just a tiny bit less de-contented than the 2011 CVs, just for my consolation.

If you had bought the 2011, you'd have to deal with those god-awful headrests... laugh
