Hope you dont plan on using the equipment that is on it unless its used correctly, i.e. Security use, Police or vol. Fire...

Still, nice car

Odd they would sell it like that, but seems like outdated equipment, so i guess they were just upgrading cars and equipment.

He posted these pictures in the noobie lounge about a month ago. He and his father fix-up these cars and sell them. I heavily doubt it still has all the equipment, as the LEO's would be all over his ass 24-7. I get crap from the police just because I have a push bumper and a spotlight... I can't imagine what they would do if I had a light bar.

It is still just like it is in the pics. My dad is a cop and all the cops around here know who he is. My dad became friends with the chief of gold beach. When they wanted to buy a car, my dad painted and equiped an 05 for them. This 00 was part trade. Since the chief liked us and knew we wouldn't go off playing cop and doing dumb stuff, he just let us have the car like it is. It is a show vehicle now. Why did we leave all the markings and equipment? Because how often does someone get a nice, all original, police vehicle in "inservice" condition- not very often. I am going to have a light bar cover made to cover the bar, then get magnets and paint them body color to cover the decals so we can drive the car.
My dad has 4 other fully equiped, original equipment, cars. He has many police vehicles with their original decals too. I am 16, but I know not to pretend to be a cop. I dont want to ruin my dream of becoming a CHP officer by having a record.

Whackers everywhere are holding back their jealous rage. lol

In my state, if you are in the business of equipping emergency vehicles, you can have working lightbars (blues and reds, strobes) and decals as long as you aren't using them for the purpose of impersonating (also not allowed to use the lights on the road). Push bars and spots are legal regardless (but again, can't be used for impersonating) per the MSP. But de-equippers (or cars being serviced by third-parties) have to cover their lightbars with an OUT OF SERVICE cover for safe measure.

I've had my car with a push bar and spots for almost two years now, and if anything, having the car has distracted police attention, not attracted it. I guess it's different in every area.

In Miami-Dade and Broward County the Leos could not care less about push bars, spot lights and even dark tint all around..Down here I see a lot of decommissioned P71's everyday of the week.
